FC Barcelona will go head-to-head against Real Betis, Setien’s ex-team tonight at 1:45 AM on matchday 23 of Spanish Liga. Betis, positioned 13th, will host the Blaugrana looking to put the side 6 points lesser than Madrid. Although the Catalans crashed out of the Copa mid-week, the side had a lot of lessons to take from San Mames. Los Verdiblancos come into this fixture following a 1-1 draw at home to Eibar.

Quique Setien’s first visit to Estadio Benito Villamarín as an opposition manager will be objective towards earning a victory to boost the struggling side’s confidence.

Team News

Barcelona are going through a period of crisis as far as their squad is concerned. Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele are sidelined due to injuries, while Gerard Pique’s suspension will push them to play two left-footed center backs. As usual, Setien will pay a front trio of Fati, Messi, and Griezmann, with no other options available. Setien, however, will have plenty of options in the midfield, with Arthur, De Jong and Busquets all fit and available.

Barcelona (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Semedo, Umtiti, Lenglet, Alba; De Jong, Busquets, Arthur; Roberto, Messi, Griezmann

Real Betis (4-1-4-1): Robles; Emerson, Mandi, Bartra, Moreno; Edgar; Fekir, Canales, Aleñá, Joaquín; Iglesias

Although a heavy week for Barca fans, I’m confident we’ll pull this off. VISCA EL BARCA!!
