All eyes will be on Quique Setien and his road to redemption, after a brutal away Liga defeat at Mestalla.
FC Barcelona will go head to head against Leganes tonight at 11:45 NST to proceed towards the last eight of Copa Del Rey 2019/20. Lionel Messi & Co. will be looking to rejuvenate after their league defeat whereas Leganes side will be traveling to the Camp Nou after a succesful point hunt at Wanda Metropolitano.
As usual, Ousmane Dembele might not be on the bench although the Frenchman has been training lately with the team. Setien might opt to go with a few youngsters in his squad – the most prominient talent being Riqui Puig, who’s set to start this clash.
Barca might opt to go for a 5-man midfield after Ansu Fati proving to be not much enough for Quique Setien guarded forward line. Messi and Griezmann will be the front two however, aiming to secure Barca a quarter-final ticket of a restructured cup tie.
Leganes, on the other hand, will be coming to the Camp Nou with three La Masia graduates: Tarín, Rivera and Arnáiz. Javier Aguirre’s side will be looking to repeat their performance from their away ficture at Madrid, where they dropped a classic defensive structure with occasional yet deadly counter threats. Captain Cuellar will be keeping the nets, and will be a man to beat for Barca forwards. The presence of Rodrigues and Recio will be important for the pacey counter-attacks that Leganes will much rely on, considering Setien’s love for possession.
Barcelona (3-5-2): Ter Stegen; Semedo, Ronald, Lenglet; Ansu Fati, Vidal, De Jong, Rakitic, Firpo; Messi, Griezmann
Leganés (5-4-1): Cuéllar; Rosales, Tarín, Siovas, Awaziem, Silva; Pérez, Recio, Óscar, Rodrigues; Braithwaite
